How Stump Grinding Works
We bring a stump grinder to your property and grind the stump down to 6-12 inches below grade. The chips fall into the hole, which you can either backfill with topsoil and seed (most common) or leave as mulch. The remaining roots decay naturally over a few years.
Pricing
Stump grinding is priced per stump based on diameter and access. Larger stumps and stumps in tight access areas cost more than open-yard stumps. We can give a phone quote with a photo or do an on-site walkthrough for multi-stump jobs.
When It's Worth It
Stumps make mowing a hassle, attract carpenter ants, and look bad. If you've had a tree taken down, grinding the stump is much cheaper than full excavation and gets the property usable again. We can grind the same day in many cases for single-stump jobs.
