How Storm Response Works
We run priority routes during and after every storm. Commercial properties on contract are typically cleared before opening hours. Residential customers are cleared in a sequence determined by route geography and contract priority — most are out before morning commute. If a storm runs into a second wave or heavy drifting, we run a second pass.
Sanding Included
On contracted routes, we sand driveways with grades that ice up — particularly important after freezing rain or warm-then-cold cycles. Sanding is included in seasonal pricing for most properties; additional sanding visits during ice events are flat-rate.
Why Seasonal Contracts
Per-storm plowing is hard to schedule reliably — when a storm hits, contracted customers are ahead of the line. Seasonal pricing also evens out the cost across mild and heavy winters, which is predictable for budgeting. Most of our plow customers are on seasonal arrangements for that reason.
Equipment
Plow trucks for driveways and lots, with appropriate equipment for tighter properties. We don't subcontract — the same crew that started the season finishes it. If equipment goes down on a storm night, we have backup.
